Real Integration Hub

The Real Integration Hub, is the first digital archive documenting the movement to integrate public schools in New York City. Currently, New York City has the most segregated public schools in the U.S. - an uncomfortable reality in the most diverse city in the world. The Hub collects decades of activism, history, research, and data to serve as a tool for equity advocates locally and around the world. The Hub features a search engine, organization directory, spatial research, and a timeline of the movement. The responsive site is multilingual and designed to educate anyone interested in the impacts of school segregation post-Brown v. Board of Education.

This project was commissioned by the New York University Metro Center The Integration and Innovation Initiative (i3) and the New York City Council.
