H.earth

H.earth is more than a garden; it's a sanctuary for community care, mutual aid, and cultural preservation. Located in the heart of the South Bronx, this innovative project, led by Territorial Empathy in partnership with La Morada, strives to address urban challenges, food insecurity, and climate-induced migration. By designing an architectural space anchored by a communal hearth, H.earth fosters resilience, celebrates ancestral knowledge, and offers a place for ritual, celebration, and sanctuary. This vibrant community hub, powered by sustainable resources like solar energy and rainwater collection, is poised to become a symbol of planetary well-being and equitable design. Join us in redefining the future of community gardens. Opened Fall 2024.

Generously Supported by This project is generously supported by Practice Lab at re:arc institute - a non-profit philanthropic association working at the intersection of climate action and architecture philanthropy and Black Box Engineering
